Sometimes traveling abroad can be difficult, sometimes our travel budget doesn’t allow for far destinations but sometimes, we really need a vacation. These are UK & US staycation ideas if you want to travel but not leave too far from home.
I had my fill of staycations visitng various areas of England during Covid and still following travel guidelines. This Latina travel blogger and now UK expat learned that staycations can still be a lot of fun and that you don’t have to go far to enjoy new parts of the country you live in. Some of my staycation trip highlights included:
- A campervan roadtrips to Cornwall
- Camping weekends visitng places like Wales
- Airbnb weekends in Bath and even
- Day trips around Manchester. (Just in case you needed a bit of inspiration for staycation trips.)
- Visiting nearby USA states like Detroit and WISCONSIN when I am back in Chicago.
Personally for myself, these helped immensely to scratch my travel itch and allow me to explore more of the country where I now call home as I usually am the type that likes visiting other countries when I go on vacation.
