My favorite places to compare flights is Aviasales and Google Flights. Sunday’s and Monday’s are the best time to book flights and Tuesday’s are the best time to fly as this is when deals get released and fares are the lowest. If you have flexibility on when and where you want to travel can mean even greater deals on flights. Many of the sites above as well as Skyscanner include flexible travel options when you search.
TRAINS & BUSES
Omio – The one stop shop for trains and buses from the leading train providers; SNCF, Euro Lines, DB, italio and Renfe. A simple way to save time and money.
Flixbus – When traveling through Europe or the USA via bus, I would also recommend checking out Flixbus. They’re prices for bus tickets tend to run cheaply for those traveling on a budget.
QEEQ – Provides a full service of offers related to renting a car. A big seller for me is that they guide you every step of the way so that you are at ease that you have everything you need when traveling with a rented car.
Bla Bla Car – A life saving site for places that may be harder to get to based on lack of public transportation available. Additional benefits include how sustainable car sharing is for the planet but also how much you can save.
Booking.com – Booking.com always seem to be the lowest prices in the market for all things travel. A big plus is that they offer various options for accommodation on their site from apartments, bed & breakfasts, 5 star hotels to even hostels. [For Black Friday Deals Click Here.]
Airbnb – A great option if traveling with a bigger group or wanting to have more home feels while traveling. They’ve introduced additional services on their site including unique stays and experiences with local hosts.
HostelWorld – Especially when traveling solo, I highly suggest considering hostels. Unlike the film, hostels are a great way to travel on a budget but also meet a lot of new friends which is harder to do in other types of accomodations. With a variety of options on the site you can find the best one that meets your needs.
TOURS & ACTIVITIES
Tripadvisor – My go to secret weapons when I start planning any trip. Simply type the country/city you would like to visit and start planning everything from restaurants, hotels, tours and so much more. Reading up on the latest reviews for hotels and restaurants is something I do especially post Covid and Tripsadvisor is still the leader in this.
GetYourGuide – Stumbled upon this gem for tours and activities and haven’t looked back. They offer vast options of tours and activities per city, by trusted tour companies and at competitor rates.
