Osaka Day Trip

| Highlights to Japan’s kitchen must include experience the Osaka City, Backstreets of Shinsekai Half Day Food Tour and authentic Omakase lunch at the Michelin-rated Sushidokoro Kurosugi 寿し処 黒杉 is a must. Hiroshima Day Trip

| Visiting Hiroshima as a day trip from Kyoto was an incredibly insightful experience. Having the opportunity to explore such a historic area and learn firsthand about the events and the resilient people of Hiroshima was deeply moving. On our private Hiroshima day tour, we felt the personalized attention really enhanced our understanding, allowing us to connect more meaningfully with the stories and sites we visited and stopping at a local eatery to savor Hiroshima-style Okonomiyaki, a delicious layered dish unique to the region. Tours cover key highlights such as: – Miyajima Island, where you’ll visit the iconic Itsukushima Shrine – The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, including the deeply informative Peace Memorial Museum, which deserves at least two hours to fully absorb. – The A-Bomb Dome, a haunting reminder of the devastation and a symbol of peace For those looking for a Hiroshima group day tour option, there’s an excellent day tour that departs from either Kyoto or Osaka. Whether you choose a private tour, like we did, for a more personalized experience, or opt for this day tour from Kyoto or Osaka, you’ll leave Hiroshima with a profound sense of history. Kimono Tea Ceremony

| During my trip to Kyoto, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in a traditional tea ceremony while dressed in an elegant kimono. As someone who loves playing dress-up, being able to choose my own kimono and have my hair styled in a traditional fashion was an absolute delight. The experience was both immersive and informative, as we were guided through the rich history of Japan tea ceremonies and the intricate process of preparing matcha green tea. I was a pro! The space itself was stunning, making it the perfect backdrop for countless Instagram-worthy photos. This was a memorable experience that I can’t rate enough. Book your NISHIKI Kimono Tea Ceremony. |
Geisha Mai Dance Performance

| Visiting the Gion area, my friend and I made sure to check out the Gion Kagai Art Museum, which offered a mesmerizing Geisha Mai Dance Performance (book your entry ticket in advance) for an additional fee. Although the dance only lasted 15-20 minutes, it was the perfect complement to the museum experience, offering a deeper understanding of the rich culture, intricate practices, and the significance of Geishas in Japan. Witnessing the graceful performance firsthand was truly the cherry on top of our visit. Given our limited time, it was incredibly convenient to explore so much in the Gion district while still getting a meaningful glimpse into the world of Geishas. For those who wish to delve even deeper, I’d highly recommend booking a full Geisha performance or a guided walking tour in Gion, where local guides share fascinating Geisha stories and insights. |
