I can personally testify that this city really does look and feel like the Hollywood films. Making it all the reason to book a NYC holiday in December.

I have been to this magical city multiple times and during different times of the year. My favorite time to visit is December. This city truly brings the holiday spirit to life. The holiday window displays/decor, music, shopping, Santa’s in almost every corner and various holiday activities can make scrooge have a change of heart.

5 Festive Things To Do In NYC

Rockefeller Center

See the Christmas tree, the legendary skating rink, and all things holiday happening here. The festive decorations and lights are a guarantee way to get you into the holiday spirit. But if that’s not enough holiday markets and live performances in Rockefeller Center are the cherry on top.

5th Ave Window Displays

Bergdorf Goodman & Macy’s Herald Square windows on 34th Street are the iconic legends from the film, ‘Miracle on 34th Street. A few other favorites that really get into the holiday spirit include:

All these shops mentioned above are all in the same area of the city and easily walk-able. If you Google, “Christmas windows nyc walking tour map [insert year]” images populates some nice maps with all the shops that will have window displays that year.

Central Park

This park is enchanting year round with such lively vibes and full of activities. During the holiday season, it’s a perfect place for a stroll through the iconic park, go ice skating or watch people ice skate if you can’t be bothered waiting in long queues or consider hoping on a horse carriage ride to enjoy all the city holiday feels.

Rolf’s

Can you say you visited New York City during the holiday season if you didn’t visit Rolf’s?This restaurant bar is decked out in all things Christmas. This is the most famous one but there is usually a ton of pop up bars that come every year too so do some research and pick your favorite.

Radio City Music Hall

It’s the most wonderful time of the year after all, so why wouldn’t you see the most ‘tis the season’ show, The Radio City Rockettes.
