Experience Berlin’s Nightlife

Berlin’s nightlife is legendary, but it requires some preparation. Research clubs and their entry policies beforehand, as some venues have strict door policies.

Even when I had heard that your nightlife was not to be missed, I was left with a sour taste as I saw people waiting for up to 2 hours to get into your massive clubs just to be turned away by your bouncers.

And then when being “honored” to enter wasn’t sure why people got denied or why people got in. Which leaves something to say about what is supposed to be such an open and welcoming city.

• Sisyphos: A fun, relaxed atmosphere with eclectic music.

Tip: Arrive early and dress casually to increase your chances of getting in.

Final Thoughts On Berlin

My Berlin rollercoaster of experiences was filled with mishaps, like being stuck outside my hostel for hours due to a faulty door code and getting fined for buying the wrong train ticket. To make matters worse, a taxi driver took a longer route, making me miss my bus to Poland and forcing me to buy a new ticket.

I understood that not every city would be amazing for me, especially during extended travels. Like life, travel has its highs and lows. My mixed feelings about Berlin were due to my personal experiences, not the city itself, except perhaps its club culture.

I encourage others to visit Berlin, as your experience may be entirely different. To Berlin, I say, “It’s not you, it’s me.”
