The secret is cleverly taking advantage of USA holidays and weekends. In this American 2024 PTO Guide I will show Americans how easy it is to turn 15 PTO days into 52 days in 2024 and offer travel resources to easily plan and save money on these trips.
This translates into a full extra 8 weeks off in 2024 to travel more, see more and comes just in time to start making your travel requests at work.

| Book your PTO earlier in the year to be approved. |
| Consider visiting intercontinental destinations during vacation #5 & #9 from the chart above as these provide you with longer periods of days off. For example, this is when you can do a Europe vacation. |
| Vacations that are 4 days off – Focus on cities or smaller countries. (4-Day vacations #1- #4 & #6 – #8 from the chart above). From America, you can easily visit – Puerto Rico – El Salvador – Antigua, Guatemala – Nicaragua – Mexico – Cities in Canada – And even London (For those who live in NYC, Boston & D.C.) |
| To maximize savings, book flights well in advance. Especially for vacations coinciding with American holidays such as Labor Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas as this is when a surge in travelers is anticipated. |
