If you’re planning a Foodie-Friendly Girls Riviera Trip and want to eat your way through Nice, and Monaco, you’re in the right place. This guide is based on my own foodie adventures along the coast, and I couldn’t have done it without my local friend Alessia. She’s a true foodie herself, with French-Italian roots, so if that doesn’t set the bar for food, I really don’t know what will. From restaurants with unforgettable views to beachside lunches, pastries that get mornings started off right, and cocktails that perfectly cap the evening. These recommendations go far beyond your standard restaurant list as they have been tried, tested, and approved on during my trip of the French Riviera.

Nice Food & Restaurants: A Culinary Journey

Dinner Spots That Stole My Heart
| Restaurant | Why It’s A Must |
| Papagallo (Italian) | My local foodie friend declared this her favorite restaurant stating, “Everything is good”. |
| Le Plongeoir (Mediterranean) | Perched on Nice’s cliffside, this restaurant offers the dreamiest sunset backdrop you’ll ever dine under. The Mediterranean cuisine paired with those views creates an unforgettable evening. |
| Jacques En Terrasse (French) | This newer establishment became our favorite for French tapas and cocktails. The lush atmosphere and purely French concept make it perfect for those wanting an authentic local experience. Book ahead or arrive closer to 9pm for their second seating. |
Reserve dinner spots like Jacques En Terrasse in advance

Beach Clubs & Lunch Spots
| Restaurant | Why It’s A Must |
| Bocca Mar (Lunch/ Beach Club) | Perfect for lunch or a full beach day with sunbeds and crisp wine in hand. The combination of good food and beach side vibes makes this a must-visit. |
| Maison Armand Patisserie Boulangerie | I’m not usually a breakfast person, but in France, I become obsessed with fresh-squeezed orange juice and baked goods paired with espresso. This patisserie hit the spot so perfectly that I grabbed extra pastries before my return flight. |
Don’t Miss: Socca is a local speciality that is basically a chickpea pancake and Nice’s answer to pizza. It’s a local favorite that you’ll find throughout the old town.

French Wine & Cocktail Culture
Quai des Amis – Arrive around 6:30-7pm for sunset drinks. Ask to sit upstairs for the best views. I couldn’t book ahead, so I’d suggest arriving early or having backup plans.
| Backup Cocktail Options: |
| Movida (Cocktail bar) Waka Bar (Alternative bar) Wayne’s Bar (International pub with live music and table dancing) |
| Post-Dinner Drinks: |
| Pompette – Comptoir à boire Cave (Nice cocktail bar) Le Café Des Chineurs (Perfect tapas bar for post-dinner drinks) La Havane (Cuban restaurant open until midnight that is great for Latin dancing) |
