Tallinn was part of a 2 week Baltics & Finland girls trip I did with my Italian girlfriend. Our 3rd and final stop in the Baltics was Estonia and it did not disappoint. In Tallinn we stayed in a redone sleeper train in the hip neighborhood of Telliskiv, learned about the old town through an immersive theatrical walking tour and met amazing individuals like Yuman during our Greether experience. This Latina’s Guide to a 72 hours in Tallinn shares how you too can make this your own experience from my Latina visit.

Tallinn Travel Tips

| Money Accepted: | Credit cards are accepted in most places with many ATMs available if you do need cash. | ||
| Safety In Tallinn: | Another great city where we felt very safe walking around the city and exploring even at night. | ||
| Friendly To Tourists/Latinas: | Tallinn was the first city in the Baltics where people (Estonian’s particularly) were more closed but this did not affect the trip and we didn’t feel uncomfortable, etc. | ||
| Length Of Stay: | If you are exploring Tallinn exclusively, I would recommend 2 days and adding more 1-2 days if you wish to explore Parnu. | ||
| Costs: | Outside of Tallinn, Estonia costs are similarly priced to other Baltic countries. Tallinn on the other hand felt a bit more expensive compared to the other big cities we visited such as Vilnius and Riga. |
Ways To Get To/Around Tallinn

| Walk | Tallinn is small and can be traveled very easily (30 min walk to each side). |
| Train/Bus | If you are crunched on time, use public transport. Tallinn transport is super easy to navigate and at €2 for an hour, a no brainer. Simply tap your credit or debit card and explore the city via train or bus. |
| Fly | Check out cheap flights using Skyscanner – your trustworthy travel companion. |
| Omio | Omio operates in the Baltic’s with many routes and busses available throughout the day to other countries in Europe. Find your bus journey. |
| Car Rental | Depending on the number in your group and what else you plan to see, renting a car may be a cheaper option. Book your car rental. |

Where We Rested In Tallinn

| Railrooms traincar hostel – Review As others have mentioned in reviews, you stay here for the gimmick not a comfortable stay. The idea sounds unique and fun; being able to sleep in a train but the execution needs some improvements. Rooms feel like the best feature but beds are small that if you are a restless sleeper, I’d guarantee you’d fall off. No lounge area, kitchen isn’t for use and showers light sensor is always turning off. If you like the idea of sleeping in a train then stay for 1 night but anything longer I’d recommend staying in some of the other more standard options in the city. Check Tallinn stays at Agoda. |
