5 Best Winter Activities In London
Hot Tub Boat Adventure

London: Hot Tub Boat Guided Historical Docklands Cruise
This unique Hot Tub Boat Guided Historical Docklands Cruise will surely create memories and make you want to recommend it to friends.
I was thrilled to experience a new activity in London by jumping into a toasty hot tub that was fun, social and informative.
I recommend this for:
- Returning tourists – Continue to be amazed by everything London has to offer.
- Small groups – Birthdays, Bachelorette/Bachelor parties or work outings.
- Locals – Even you’d be surprised how much you could learn about London.
- Couples – Creative date idea.
Top Tip
This is perfect for the winter but if visiting in the summer, consider checking out their BBQ Boats for an alternative cool summer activity.
Watch a show

From theatre, to plays, concerts and musicals, catching a show in London’s theatre district; West End is an experience anytime of the year. Particularly in the winter, it is a great activity to dress up, take in the arts and make a night out of it.
During my visit, I experienced the spectacular virtual music concert by the iconic Swedish band; ABBA. ABBA Voyage brings the hits of ABBA using virtual avatars. Personally, for me, I prefer seeing the band in their prime and think this is a great way to immerse yourself in the latest technology along with such an iconic band.

Cruise The River Thames

River Thames Uber Ride & Cable Car
The River Thames is such a historic waterway that is often unappreciated as it should. I love walking along it during the summer and enjoy the energy people bring and the various cafes, bars and restaurants along the river. In the winter, why not flip the switch and enjoy it from inside. It’s the perfect way to stay warm and away from the winter elements.
This tour makes it easy to really enjoy the River Thames but while adding a little bit of spice to the experience. Your ticket includes a single journey cruise on the River Thames and a return via a cable car. How cool is that!
Top Tip
Multiple piers available to hop on to the cruise which makes it easy to choose your own starting point.
Explore A New Neighborhood

London Neighborhood Exploration Games
Friends wonder if I get tired of visiting London. I am happy to say that not yet. With so many neighborhoods in London, you can experience this city again and again. I try to stay in a different neighborhood depending on the type of visit or who I am traveling with.
A great way to explore a neighborhhod is on foot. A more entertaining way is by doing an exploration game. The neighborhoods below all have exploration games. These are perfect for;
- Those who like doing just a little more when seeing a city,
- May be a little bit competitive
- Want to see discover a London neighborhod in a fun way
Be Fancy, Have High Tea

London: National Gallery Guided Tour and Afternoon Tea
With chilly weather means you can indulge in pretty things inside. In the summer, I would recommend grabbing a picnic and heading to Primrose Hill but in winter it’s all about afternoon tea. Think tea sandwiches, scones with clotted cream, mini quiches and paired with a wide selection of tea offerings.
This tour pairs your high tea with a visit to the national gallery to explore some world renowned art.
alternative afternoon tea
This afternoon tea will have you seeing the city on a double decker bus if art isn’t your thing. See more HERE.
