On our exhilarating girls’ campervan road trip through Iceland, we embraced the spirit of adventure while adhering to our Roadtrippers Budget Stays In Iceland mantra. While B&Bs and hotels dot the landscape along the Ring Road and Diamond Road, our cozy campervan served as both our transportation and accommodation, making us privy to a unique perspective on Icelandic hospitality. As a Latina travel blogger, I’m excited to share our camping experiences, offering insights into the campsites that became our temporary homes during this unforgettable journey.

Travel With A Campervan In Iceland

Hands down the BEST way to travel around Iceland is with a campervan and what an experience it will be.
If two chicas with no campervan experience can manage to not burn down a campervan, (Now, that’s a story to share.) I can assure you that you can too.
5 Roadtrippers Budget Stays In Iceland

Here’s a curated list of campsites we highly recommend from our Icelandic escapade. Do keep in mind to check their availability, especially during the winter months, as some campsites do close seasonally.
| City | Hotel Name | Why Book? | Book |
| Reykjavik | Oddsson Hotel | Described as a self-catering boutique hotel near the city, this place offers wonderful rooms for various type of guests/budgets and includes breakfast. We would highly recommend staying here during your time in Reykjavik. | Click here to book |
| Hvolsvollur | Hellisholar Cottages | Centrally located to many of the nearby attraction and offering all the amenities one would need to sleep comfortably in your campervan. Cottages are also available. | Click here to book |
| Vik | Vik Camping | Reasonable place to stay for the night along the Ring Road. Perks include laundry facilites. | Click here to book |
| Grindavik | Campsite Grindavik | Blue Lagoon is a short drive away and the perfect place to stay the night before your visit to the lagoon especially if visiting when they open the lagoon at 8:00 AM, which I highly advise. | Click here to book |
| Fludir | Fludir Camping | Secret Lagoon is a short drive away from this campsite and a perfect place to lay your head after an evening splash. | Click here to book |
